Eshkol-Wachman Movement Notation

sysref

It confines itself to a limited number of analyising categories to examine the movement.

Since only the spatial paths of the various skeletal sections are described, the system is equally suitable for applications in dance and in other fields.

Eshkol-Wachman Movement Notation was created and invented in the 1950s in Israel by Noa Eshkol and Avraham Wachman. Their system was published in 1958.

Eshkol-Wachman Movement Notation does not depend – in its origins and above all in its analytical methods – on a certain movement style.
The analysis solely relates to abstract spatial and temporal parameters of the movement.
