Use Insert Staff to put a new
staff with empty cells on your page. You can format your new staff freely by
choosing the number of limb rows, row heights and limb names.
Steps
Choose Staff from the Insert menu.
The Staff Dialog appears. You
will see a staff definition with some example columns which let you easily
view the changes you apply to your staff.
To format your new staff to your needs, perform one or
more of the following operations:
Choose the Open Template button
from the dialog’s toolbar to use a different staff template as the basis
for the following edit operations.
Choose the Add button from the dialog’s
toolbar to add limbs or groups to your staff. Note: Added items will be placed before or after the current selected
limb or group. Change the selection by clicking on another limb or choose
the Up or Down buttons.
Choose the Delete button from the dialog’s
toolbar to remove unwanted limb rows or limb groups.
Rename groups or limbs by clicking on the name or by clicking on the Edit
Group Name or Edit Limb Name buttons from the dialog’s toolbar.
Note: You should be aware of EW Notator's limb
naming guidelines when giving new names to limbs since the program
uses limb names in various editing operations.
To resize and format limb rows or groups,
choose the Format Limbs button from the dialog's toolbar.
If you want to apply the same formatting to more than one limb row or
group, select a number of limbs by dragging
the selection marker.
If you only want to resize one limb row, you can also drag the bottom border
of the selection marker.
