Insert, Object

Purpose

Use Insert Object to embed an object created with another application in your EW Notator document. The object appears inside a box within the EW Notator document and may contain text, graphics or any other form of information.

Steps

To embed a new object,

1. Choose Object from the Insert menu.
2. Choose Create New.
3. In the Object Type box select the type that describes the application in which you want to create the object.
4. To display the embedded object as an icon in the EW Notator document, select the Display as an Icon check box.
5. Choose OK.

To embed an existing object,

1. Choose Object from the Insert menu.
2. Choose Create from File.
3. Type the path and the name of the file that you want to embed.
   or
   Choose Browse to display an open file dialog, select the file you want to embed, then choose OK.
4. To display the embedded object as an icon in the EW Notator document, select the Display as an Icon check box.
5. To link the object to EW Notator rather than embed it, choose Link.
6. Choose OK.
